TOO MUCH OF A GOOD THING

Ladies and gentlemen, give it up for the worlds first walking iconostasis.

It looks so traditional and yet so gay! (I use gay in the old sense of the word)

wow...are there any vestments too ugly for the Episcopalians to wear?

And they even ship their really good ones to England. That's Dr. Jeffrey John. And, BTW Ben, your terminology works both ways. Uh, sorry.

William... I know.. But vestments per se can't be homosexual! :-)

Just a few votes away from being able to add an onion dome miter to the ensemble.

I like figurework and regret its passing. I think the maker of this was perhaps trying to echo the Syon Cope but not doing very well. There's a lack of coherence and thought out design - still the workmanship looks not bad, it isn't glued on milk bottle tops and felt applique.

It's not JJ's week is it!

I kind of like it.

Gail F, I like it too, but I think Margaret has the right of it - an incoherent knockoff of the Syon style.

It is too much of a potentially good thing. The over-abundance outweighs the workmanship.

Oh come on, guys. It's not soo terrible. I make vestments and, believe me, the work put into these things is HUGE! Overdone, sure. Heaven bless the restraint factor when the vestments are being made. What I'm really wanting to see on this sight is what everyone considers some appropriate, yet beautiful vestments. I could use a little direction here.

It's not so much that this one is ugly, but that it looks like he has a homeade quilt draped over his shoulders.

there are so many that are worse, but granted, it is a mobile iconostasis, except that there would be more gold and crystal beading on an iconostasis.

"Walking Iconostasis" LOL Great line!
I'm sure even Fr Jeffrey would enjoy it.

The dude's not even wearing a pectoral cross. Unless there's a giant Jesus on the back, this vestment points to everyone BUT Christ. *pa-thoooey!*

I wonder if there's a unifying theme to the icons. It's hard to tell.

As far as I know, there's nothing uncanonical about this, though I've never seen anything like it. What's the back story? Is this fellow an Anglican?

As poor as this is, this is decent when put beside Mold, Mildew and Fungus. Am I right?

Definitely not the worst I have seen!

The saints in the orphery would have sufficed.

I'll give $10 to the first person to correctly name all the saints adorning his cope.

Why are there more gays in the clergy than in the general population?
