MINNESOTA TWOFER

Bishop Jelinek? I guess you didn't get the memo but if you're going to rock the flames theme, it's best not have them look like they're coming from that direction. I know that your side of the aisle stopped believing in the concept years ago but this sort of thing just gives wise-ass bloggers one more thing to make fun of you for.

As a matter of fact, Bishop Prior, I would like fries with that. Thanks very much for asking.

UPDATE: This consecration might very well have been the perfect bad vestment storm. This seems to have been what was on the back of Bishop Jelinek's ensemble. And check out the stole on the guy in front of him. Props to Greg Griffith.

Tragic.

James Brown and Elvis are envious of those duds! Or maybe it's time for some prestidigitation by Dr. Magnifico and his colleague The Great Cardini.

I think the guys and gals down at the Braile Center are doing a fine job sewing those together.

The other chap in the second photo, like so many bishops of the Anglican communion, needs to be reminded that the options are rochet-chimere-tippet or alb-stole.

At the following link is a photo of the Pope titled Pepto Papa. It would be a great addition to your site.

Christopher, this is a great site. It's like the peopleofwalmart.com of vestments! I'm adding you to my roster of Allies for Victory.

While checking out the back of the vestment in the link, I also looked at some of the other pictures at the link. Some one who looks like the Presiding Bishop is in one of them and she did not get the memo about this being a RED day. Her green/purple/lt blue makes her stand out and not in a good way. I am thinking it is the Presiding Bishop since she got a bigger chair than everyone else.

bob m - yes it is, and yes she does! And thanks for the tip on the album. In #81 we can see the mitre which goes with Bp. Prior's cope; unfortunately someone appears to have been sitting on it.

Oh that's the mitre you get in a Christmas cracker!

I just checked back.

They get uglier and more ridiculous looking every time I see them.
