What is amazing is the outrageous amount of money TET spent on these things for use during the General Convention. Maybe Madame Schori will use them again, but still....
I just got into New Haven last night and just found out that I probably won't be able to move into my place until the middle of orientation, but then I read the BTFO blog and clicked the link to this, and I have had a much needed laugh at bad vestments. But hey, Katharine Jefferts Schori's isn't so bad! (Did you see the miter she wore at her installation?)
Rather like the pumpkin comment ... but lest anyone be concerned about the cost, the vestments were designed and donated by CM Almy, so there was no cost involved.
As for this "Madame" Schori nonsense ... as they say in the classics, "Get a life!"
I was a paramedic, years before I was ordained. I know what it looks like when the carotid artery is ruptured. Given that she is still standing, she doesn't even have that for an excuse...

It's the Great Pumpkin!
May we take the "kabola" joke as repeated?

Bad taste + bad stewardship!

Thanks for the laugh.
Howling in eastern North Carolina. Thanks.

Too bad Almy couldn't come up with something with at least a smidgen of good taste.

I speak Xhosa (anthropologist...) so am curious why this heading was chosen...
As bad as it is on the presiding bishop, it looked even worse on Jon Bruno. He looked like a circus tent at half staff.
Ubuntu means open source software.
