WOULD YOU LIKE FRIES WITH THAT?
Katharine Jefferts Schori actually wore this ensemble during Palm Sunday services in the Holy Land. Someone once referred to that thing on her head as an oven mitt.
I can't stand her "theology", her confusing 'liturgics' with 'litigiousness', or her "taste" in vestments, but (in the spirit of finding something positive to say about even the PB) with mitres such as this, she must have great neck muscles!

And you get a blog link for this. I cried a tiny tear when I saw this website. You are a genius, sir!
The actual oven mitt that was used as a "go by":

Check out the website above. A friend suggested the mad cow mitt for Ms Schori, but I thought the shark mitt appropriate. Do we need a contest?
Oops. Wrong address for the mad cow and shark mitts.
Check this out.

You think all her gay friends would tell her NOT to wear that EVER.
roflmao!! you are brilliant.
Forget the fries, just hand me a barf bag!
In the UK, that would be a tea cosy.
I can't decide whether its the oven mitt or the sight of a female "bishop" that's the more hilarious.
In Irish, we call that a Goyisher Kopf!
As I said earlier, no matter how bad the mitre, earrings won't help.
the size of the miter really does matter..... :)
H.
